Job Description

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit 2 Senior Learning & Development Officers within Glasgow City Health & Social Care Partnership (GHSCP).

Both roles will support the implementation of the ‘National Trauma Training Plan’ (NTTP).
There is a requirement for a Senior to be dedicated to supporting the Trauma Lead Co-ordinator within the project and the other Senior role will initially be dedicated to supporting Service Trauma Informed priorities within Homelessness Services.

The project is supported by GHSCP Trauma Champion, Senior Managers and the Trauma Informed Steering Group.

These posts will be hosted within GHSCP Learning and Development Team and you will work closely together and collaborate regularly to support the Trauma Informed Project in inspiring a trauma informed culture and be committed to the delivery of a training strategy aligned to the Transforming Psychological Trauma Knowledge and Skills Framework and evaluating outcomes, for the Scottish workforce (NHS Education for Scotland 2017).

We are seeking two dynamic individuals to utilise existing training and development resources and support development of internal capacity to meet the demand across the HSCP workforce and key partner agencies. You may be expected to provide supervision/coaching and reflective practice sessions to enhance the capacity of staff to deliver support within a trauma informed environment. An ability to involve people with lived experience of trauma in the design of the training programme is essential.

You will demonstrate a genuine passion for this area of work, with the ability to advocate for trauma informed models of practice across a range of different services and levels of GHSCP and be committed to keeping abreast of research and developments and engaging in local and national training opportunities.

Please refer to the Job Profile and Person Specification for further details.

Both posts are full-time on a fixed term basis for 2 years.

These posts are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
