As School Librarian you will you will be part of the Communities and Libraries team, providing access to library and information services within one or more secondary schools. You will encourage reading and literacy, support the teaching and learning taking place within the school and its associated Curriculum for Excellence experiences and outcomes.
To be successful in this role you have the following skills and experience:
• strong information skills
• strong customer service skills
• be a good communicator and negotiator
• a degree in Information and Library Studies or equivalent CILIP certification
• a knowledge of supporting and delivering training
This role is temporarily funded by the Pupil Equity Fund until 31st March 2021, with the possibility of extension. Glasgow Life operate 160 venues across Glasgow including Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, the Emirates Arena, Mitchell Library and the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. In addition we are proud to be responsible for Celtic Connections, the Glasgow Club and the City’s 32 local libraries.
