Job Description

Glasgow Psychological Service has a vacancy for one main grade educational psychologist post.
The Service is progressive and dynamic providing professional challenge and support within a large local authority. This post offers unique experience within a wide variety of educational provision across mainstream and specialist establishments and in partnership with a wide range of colleagues. Working within a strong, nurturing and inclusive team you will be actively involved in the development of policy and practice related to the Additional Support for Learning Act and the Children and Young People Act as we work towards raising attainment, improving wellbeing and closing the poverty related gap in Glasgow.
You will work within the ethical standards of the British Psychological Society and be supported by a robust CLPL framework. We are keen to harness both experience and the potential of newly qualified staff and will consider Trainee Educational Psychologists who will be eliglibe for employment in September 2021.
Candidates must be registered or eligible to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council when taking up post. Glasgow Psychological Service is accredited by the British Psychological Society to provide supervision of probationer educational psychologists. Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.

You must be HCPC registered or eligible for registration on completion of Stage 2 Qualification in Educational Psychology.

A valid driving licence is required for this position.
