Job Description
The Glasgow City Region Intelligence Hub is looking to add a GIS analyst to the team.
In what is a unique role in Scotland, the Hub provides an internal economic consultancy service to the Regions’ partners. We offer a wide range of evidence-based functions related to economic strategy and policy development. We also play a key part in making the case for investment across the Region.
Whether it is using mobile phone data to understand how our labour market functions spatially or utilising the latest research on the race to net zero, the team is at the forefront of providing solutions to the biggest economic challenges facing the Region.
To help us, the team has built a range of tools and dashboards to understand where needs and opportunities are greatest. And we are now looking for a dynamic GIS analyst with the intellectual curiosity and a passion to use the latest techniques to explore the economic geography of the Region.
Due to the nature of the work, we are looking for someone who relishes the opportunity to work across a wide range of stakeholders and embed GIS in the policy and programme development process.
