Job Description
This senior leadership role within Financial Services reports to the Director of Financial and Business Services. The job holder will lead the Corporate Finance division with responsibility for a number of activities including provision of strategic financial planning information including financial forecasts, budget papers and financial outturns.
You will also be responsible for the delivery of the council’s statutory annual accounts in line with proper accounting practice, including liaison with external audit and preparation of full audited accounts.
In addition, you will deliver regular revenue and investment programme monitoring reports and associated variance analysis including probable outturns.
You will a have professional qualification for a CCAB body or CIMA and will possess an in depth knowledge of local government finance and local authority accounting requirements.
