Job Description

Are you a passionate and experienced Marketing Officer? 

Glasgow recently established a new Destination Management Organisation (DMO) to showcase Glasgow’s culture and experiences to audiences locally, nationally and internationally. Called Destination Glasgow, the new unit sits within Economic Development, in the Chief Executive’s Department. 

As Marketing Officer, you will report to the Senior Officer and your role will be to support both digital and traditional marketing solutions to deliver impact and engagement, raise the profile of Glasgow as a tourism destination to boost visitor numbers and spend.
 
You will project manage external destination campaigns, helping to brief and coordinate external agencies and internal design colleagues. You will use specialist marketing knowledge to define the right channel to the right audience at the right time, producing reports and briefings for stakeholders based on marketing campaign insights and outputs. 

You will also shape and manage the Destination Glasgow brand identity across B2B and B2C communications, strengthening Glasgow’s reputation as an outstanding overnight stay tourism destination. You will manage internal working relationships and provide communications and marketing guidance and support to relevant stakeholders. 

You will be creative, curious and results driven with an interest in keeping up with the latest trends and developments in the sector.
