Job Description

Neighbourhoods and Sustainability is implementing an Integrated Asset Management and Business System across the Council’s waste collection, streetscene, parks, roads and lighting services. This will result in the replacement of a number of legacy systems across these services, the further roll-out of mobile working technology for frontline staff, and new business and operational processes.

Working as part of a small team, you will provide support to the Project Manager and Project team in the co-ordination, planning, and control of the projects and to provide technical input and assistance where required. You will be able to demonstrate previous experience of providing Programme/Project Management Organisation (PMO) support to complex change programmes/projects within a large organisation.You must have well developed written skills in respect of producing reports, emails and issuing minutes or action notes from meetings in a clear and precise manner. You must also be flexible and adaptable to changing situations and have the ability to work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of and the ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and related IT systems is essential. A formal programme/project management qualification or training or demonstrable working knowledge of project management techniques is desirable. As is a current driving licence.
