Job Description

The Roadworks Control team is responsible for managing/co-ordinating all road works and road occupations within Glasgow in accordance with current legislation and the Scottish Road Works Register (SRWR). The SRWR Supervisor is responsible for managing/monitoring performance and activities on the SRWR, issuing permits, fines and dealing with day to day enquiries. You must be able to assimilate complex information, maintain client records and produce reports from the SRWR system. You will possess and demonstrate good interpersonal/communication skills, be able to plan, organise and prioritise work and be able to meet deadlines. Previous experience of dealing with the public and statutory agencies, supervisory skills, IT skills and the ability to work alone or as part of a team is essential. A City & Guilds/ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in a roads related subject or a HAUC certificate is desirable as is knowledge of roads legislation and the Scottish Road Works Register.
