We are seeking an ambitious individual to provide strategic leadership and direction on major initiatives linked to recovery and transformation. Working as part of the Executive Leadership Team you will nurture and grow the Highland Council’s vision of creating a strong and growing sustainable economy built on fairness of opportunity for all.

Deputising for the Chief Executive you will routinely ensure appropriate governance and business continuity.  A highly effective communicator you will lead and manage complex agendas at Committee and Board level, engaging successfully with stakeholders.  Commanding a portfolio of services and projects you will progress business transformation, directing the Council’s programme of change and creating a culture of continuous improvement.

The recruitment process will involve a Stakeholder Participation Panel held prior to the Interview, both will be conducted virtually and are likely to take place late August 2021.

The Interview panel will comprise elected members supported by professional advisers from the Council.
