Job Description

Post Title: Graduate Speech & Language Therapist
Location: Highland/Caithness
37 hours per week
Band 5 £30,229 - £37,664 p.a.

A part-time or job sharing working arrangement will be considered, if appropriate.

A relocation package is available to the successful candidate, if appropriate.

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: To work as part of a team that provide a Speech and Language Therapy Service to for a range of children who have speech, language, and / or communication difficulties, dysphagia and/or eating and drinking difficulties, working within paediatrics - in accordance with national, Highland Council (HC) and NHS Highland policies and guidelines.

  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
  • Licence to practice as a Speech and Language Therapist as issued by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) 
  • HCPC registration
  • Means to travel efficiently and effectively between various locations within Highland to meet the operation requirements of the service.
