Job Purpose: The Highland Council has recently taken the decision to bring the ICT service in-house. We have an exciting opportunity for a number of ICT Senior Solutions Analysts to join our new team to oversee the delivery of ICT solutions.

The role will be varied. Working as part of the ICT Solutions Team, you will engage with the Council’s business units to drive and support technology enabled business change and help bridge the gap between business requirements and technology.

You will work with ICT Technical Leads to co-ordinate, design and deliver ICT implementations while providing governance and assurance. We have an ambitious plan to reduce our ICT infrastructure with a move to the cloud. This role is very much focused on supporting this move, and helping design new ICT solutions within the cloud.

We are looking for applicants with a broad understanding and knowledge across a range of ICT areas such as telephony, end-user computing, VDI, servers, databases, applications and integrations.

Ideal candidates will have experience in the o365 platform and MS Azure and a good understanding of cyber security principles in an enterprise environment.

The successful applicant will be a team player by nature with good communication skills and a sound understanding of ICT technologies.  Professionalism, self-motivation and an ability to problem solve will be required in order to provide all aspects of the service, as will an enthusiastic approach and a strong commitment to delivering a customer-focused service. New team members will be expected to bring ideas and to be passionate about making the most effective use of technology and providing the support for that technology that Council staff and customers expect.

Please APPLY ONLINE.  If you are unable to apply online and you wish to request an offline application pack, please contact Business Support via Business.SupportHR-Fin-DI@highland.gov.uk quoting the post reference number above.

Shortlisted applicants will normally be contacted by email, unless otherwise stated. Please check your emails regularly, including your junk/spam folder.
