As part of the recently created Place division within Midlothian Council the Economic Development Team have a varied portfolio that includes redundancy support to those to those at risk of, or that have been made redundant, to secure a positive destination.

This post is funded by The Scottish Government PACE Programme to 31/03/2022, this may be extended.

The Role

The Key Worker will support those at risk of, or that have been made redundant, to secure a positive destination through individual support and targeted interventions from partners of the Scottish Government PACE programme.

The Key Worker will provide tailored support that takes into account the needs and preferences of individuals to create a bespoke plan of learning and support interventions to ensure lasting positive destinations.

Key Requirements

The post holder should be educated to SCQF Level 6 or have sound knowledge/experience of employability programmes and projects including delivery of one-to-one caseloads.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual who can demonstrate previous experience in a person centred role, preferably linked to employability. The role requires effective communication skills and a results orientated approach.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £24,157.25 per annum.

Requirements

Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard. This requires completion of a disclosure check for all employees who can access official information. The fee for this PSN Disclosure check will be met by the council.
