The Public Safety & Resilience Officer will support the newly formed Protective Services in Place to deliver Event Safety, Licensing Standards, Serious Organised Crime, Anti-social Behaviour and Emergency Planning, Risk and Resilience activities.
The post holder will be responsible for the coordination of events through the Safety Advisory Group process and the provision of advice to improve the quality and standards of public safety. They will play a significant role in assisting the Service Manager with all Licensing Standards responsibilities, Emergency Planning duties and responsibilities, maintenance of the business continuity framework and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and statutory frameworks.
Educated to HND or degree level, or equivalent, in a discipline within Regulatory Services i.e. Health & Safety, Environmental Health or a related regulatory function e.g. Police, with previous experience of ensuring public safety with an understanding of the various legislation associated with protectives services.

Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £35,409.35 per annum.
Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard.
