We are looking for a Sustainable Transport Officer to deliver and monitor Electric Vehicle and other alternative fuelled vehicle infrastructure and installation in Midlothian. The post holder will be confident developing policies, determining resource requirements and will lead the implementation of the fleet replacement programme to meet the Scottish Government’s 2032 deadline to phase out the need to buy petrol and diesel engine cars and vans.


The jobholder will be educated to degree level, in an environmental subject is desirable. S/he should have knowledge, interest and experience of environmental issues particularly in relation to transport, vehicles and infrastructure. They should have experience of working on their own initiative to be able to source necessary data, analyse and produce information.
