Member of a team carrying out the functions of Development Control and Transport Strategy.
Transport Policy and Strategy
Assessing impact of new developments on the transport network.
Degree in Civil Engineering or Geography or other relevant subject OR
Equivalent qualification or work experience.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to relate to a range of audiences.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer and Excel.
Self confident and self motivated.
Knowledge of current Scottish Government transport policies and guidance.
knowledge of road design procedures and practices.
Knowledge of relevant legislation.
Skilled in report writing and presentations.
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various locations within and beyond Moray. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car/van.
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with a wide range of contacts.
Ability to develop positive working relationships and contribute as part of a team.
Willingness to accept direction/delegation.
Professional approach in all areas.
Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service.
Ability to work in a shared office and at home.
Ability to work in different offices depending on the needs of the service.
Remote working will be considered.
Ability to work outdoors.
