Based in one of ours Depots, you will work as part of the team responsible for all aspects of inspection, servicing and maintenance of a large diverse commercial fleet.
With an interest in vehicle maintenance, it will be a condition of employment that you have three standard grade passes at bands 1-4/National 5s at band A-D in Maths, English and a Science or Technical subject prior to starting in post and be willing to undertake a four-year apprenticeship programme that will require you to successfully complete SVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics. You will also be required to attend New Lanarkshire College, Motherwell, training on a day or block release basis.
You will be a good communicator, mix well with other members of staff and be able to work as part of a team, as well as work on your own initiative. You will also have the ability to follow written and verbal instruction. Basic knowledge of vehicles and equipment, and an awareness of related Health and Safety issues would be advantageous.
You must be between 16 and 24 years of age and a resident of North Lanarkshire to apply for this post.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
