NLC4 £21,220 - £22,530 (Pro Rata)

14 hour post – Saturday and Sunday 3.00pm to 10.00pm

Based in Wishaw Sports Centre, your main task will be to assist our customers within this busy sports venue and ensure that they enjoy their visit.  The customers’ safety, especially within the pool area, will be your main responsibility. 

All candidates should either possess a RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, be working towards the completion of it or be required to undergo appropriate training to obtain the appropriate qualification.  A variety of tasks will be undertaken in relation to the efficient operation of the venue including general cleaning duties, setting out equipment and preparation for events.

You will work as part of a team and must be a strong swimmer.  You will be neat and tidy in appearance, have a pleasant manner, good communication skills and a helpful approach when dealing with our customers.

As a requirement of these posts, the successful candidates must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) membership through Disclosure Scotland.

This post is fixed term until 31 March 2023.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip.  You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
