Customer Service Adviser

35 hours per week
£21,682 - £23,470 Pro Rata (including Distant Islands Allowance)

An opportunity has arisen within the Customer Services Team for a permanent full-time Customer Services Adviser.
As a first point of contact, you will be required to deal directly with queries form the public face to face, over the phone, by email and online. You will take ownership of customer problems, solving them at the first point of contact and escalating them when required. You will provide advice and information to the public over a wide range of Council services.

You will also be required to assist with the development of digital online forms on the customer service platform and the development, design and creation of pages on the Council website.

Other duties will include the collection and reconciliation of income paid to the Council, the recording of Council house repairs and dealing with blue badge applications.
You should have experience in working in a customer focused administrative role and have excellent communication skills. You should also have wide experience in the use of computerised systems and the ability to develop web-based software applications and update web content.

You should have strong writing, proof reading and editing skills and be able to work under pressure. You will be required to work flexibly and be a good team player to meet the demands of the job.
