Planning Manager (Development and Marine Planning)

35 hours per week

£43,327 to £47,141 (Including Distant Islands Allowance)

We are looking for a highly motivated qualified Planner to lead and manage our Development and Marine Planning Team with a focus on the delivery of a strong and customer focused service. You should be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills and possess excellent communications skills.

You should have Full Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute with significant post RTPI full membership experience in development planning or other planning policy formulation, of which at least 2 years should be at a senior level.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
