Relief Electoral Registration Canvasser

£10.18 per hour, plus Distant Island Allowance and Mileage

Working hours can be variable and will also involve evening and weekend work.
This post involves visiting properties that have not responded to correspondence issued by the Electoral Registration Officer, updating records and gathering further information, as required using a dedicated tablet device for which full training will be given

Initial coverage will be Lerwick and Scalloway and possibly other surrounding areas. The main canvassing will take place during October and November with further opportunities to cover other areas of Shetland throughout the year. A vehicle suitable for use in this post would need to be available. Applicants are required to have previous experience of working in an office environment and dealing with the public.
