The Responder Service provides a rapid response following falls or other emergencies in the home, ensuring that individuals can remain safely and independently in their own homes and enjoy quality of life. The work will be both challenging and varied, and under guidance from the Responder Co-ordinator.

Red Team shifts will include providing assistive technology, and ongoing 24-hour emergency on call support to enable individuals to achieve as much independence as possible.

Green Team shifts will include supporting people when they are transferred home from either an acute hospital bed or a spell in respite care or supporting people who might need care in their home for a short spell to avoid hospital admission. The service you will provide is person-centred with the focus being wherever possible for people to regain their health and confidence and go on to be fully independent once again.

This role would ideally suit someone who has recent work experience in the social care field or similar. You will need the sort of personality that enjoys interacting with people and making a difference to their lives. If you are motivated, caring, honest, can remain calm in a crisis, then this could be the job for you, and we are waiting to hear from you.

In return for your hard work and dedication you will receive:
• Competitive rate of pay
• Excellent career progression opportunities via SVQCF Level 2
• Paid holidays
• Full paid training and ongoing support

You should hold an SVQ2 Social Services and Health Care (SCQF6) or other relevant qualification to allow registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker in a Care at Home Service or a requirement to achieve this within 5 years of taking up post.
