Student Records Officer

Orkney College UHI has a vacancy for a part time Student Records Officer. The successful candidate will have a varied role including ensuring complete and accurate student records from creation to audit, staff timetabling and taking a key role in preparation of the annual awards ceremony.  

Applicants must hold an HND, or equivalent SCQF level 8 qualification, in a relevant area for example Administration and Information Technology or Computing.  

The role requires an experienced user of I.T. with an understanding of how databases work along with the ability to interpret guidance to ensure data accuracy and consistency meets internal and external requirements.  Problem solving skills and attention to detail are important skills in the role as is the ability to work independently at a local level.  As part of the UHI partnership the post holder will be the Orkney College representative on relevant UHI groups, participating in and taking forward UHI-wide initiatives at a local level.    

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
