Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership

The Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership delivers joined up health and social care services across the Perth and Kinross area. The partnership consists of representatives from Perth & Kinross Council, NHS Tayside and other community partners.

We want to improve the quality of life experienced by the people who need the support of health and social care services. By working together, our aim is to ensure that people receive the seamless support they need when they need it, to live active, healthy and independent lives in their own homes (or a homely setting), close to their family, friends and/or local community for as long as possible. In Perth and Kinross, we recognise that people who are ill, vulnerable, or have disabilities often need support from numerous services to enable them to live independently and to prevent unnecessary stays in hospital or in residential care. Growing demand, means that, now more than ever, we need kind, compassionate and caring people to come and work with us in Social Care.

With the local community at the heart of what we do, we want to ensure that people receive the right care at the right time, adapt care to meet the needs of those that need it, build strong and compassionate communities, which offer support and companionship and make sure that people have the information and support that they need to manage their own health and wellbeing. The positive impact that the Partnership has on the lives of the people within Perth and Kinross can be seen on our Health and Social Care Integration stories page.

Why work in a role in Social Care?

It is a rewarding and fulfilling role that has life changing effects for those who receive care in their own homes, a residential setting or in a day centre. Being part of a team that has such a positive impact on the lives of our most vulnerable citizens, brings not only job satisfaction and a sense of pride, but a real feeling of making a difference.

Partnership staff employed by Perth & Kinross Council work in Adult Social Work & Social Care teams and have access to a wide range of benefits which can be found on our Employment Info page. We promote a healthy work life balance and offer generous annual leave entitlement, access to the Local Government Pension Scheme and Flexible Working Policy. Staff working for the Partnership are employed by the Council, NHS Tayside, or the community partner who recruited them.
