Are you aged 16-24 and looking for an opportunity to gain on the job experience whilst working towards a qualification? If so, a Business and Administration Modern Apprenticeship within Perth & Kinross Council could be what you are looking for……….
The role will involve working in a friendly and supportive environment within the HR Systems Team. The post will provide great exposure to working within a busy and fast paced HR Office and how the administration of an employee’s job cycle is managed within a large organisation. You will gain valuable customer service experience, finance, IT and administration skills whilst building confidence and knowledge across a wide range of areas. These include support to maintain the Council’s various HR systems, assisting with payroll and employment contract related tasks and handling a variety of customer queries. Training and support will be given throughout the apprenticeship and the role will involve working on your own initiative and closely with members of the team(s).
After gaining your initial qualification, you may also have the opportunity to gain a Payroll or HR qualification which will be funded by the Council. As a Modern Apprentice with Perth and Kinross Council there will also be many other exciting opportunities to get involved in such as corporate events, networking MA Connections events, participation in charity fundraising and taking part in community volunteering activities.
We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic person who has the appetite to learn and develop their administrative related skills and is looking for a career within Business and Administration. Good verbal and written communication is required as well as great attention to detail. Reliability and drive is also a key ingredient the person must hold for this position.
