Rattray Primary School
Are you an innovative leader in education? Do you have what it takes to make a difference in the lives of children in a nursery/primary school setting? We have a Centre Leader role at Rattray Primary School, which could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As Centre Leader, you will be required (within the resources available) to conduct the affairs of the centre to the benefit of the children, their families and the community it serves, through pursuing objectives and implementing policies set by the education authority, under the overall direction of the Director of Education & Children’s Services.
You will lead and develop a team of professional staff responding, in line with the Children and Young People Act, the Early Years Framework, Building the Ambition, Perth & Kinross Council’s Early Years Strategy, How Good is Our Early Learning and Childcare (HGIOELC), Curriculum for Excellence and Pre Birth to three Guidance to meet the needs of children in their early years.
You will be responsible for the leadership, management and strategic direction of the centre. You will adopt an overarching risk management approach having regard to duty of care, community safety, child protection, Getting it Right For Every Child (GIRFEC) and knowledge of Health and Safety.
You will have experience in working in a pre-school setting and will be able to evidence your commitment to raising standards and promoting effective learning and teaching. You will have knowledge of the Additional Support for Learning agenda and will be committed to the educational visions and values of Perth & Kinross Council.
There is an expectation that you will have an appropriate degree as recognised by SSSC for a management role or a teaching qualification, and have full registration with SSSC or GTC, alongside experience of leading and managing strategic change and people within an educational setting.
You will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual, with the ability to motivate those around you and a willingness to explore your own continuous professional development.
