As part of the Enterprise, Trade and Investment team the post holder will have a key role in developing and implementing economic development strategies and action plans to support the growth of the Perth and Kinross economy. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating projects within the business community and will be expected to lead on several initiatives including encouraging trade growth outwith Scotland and within priority industry sectors including food and drink, clean growth, manufacturing and digital. You will have strong project management skills and be able to work in partnership with internal colleagues, external customers and partners in the delivery of projects including attracting external funding.

You will have a Degree or equivalent experience in economic development, marketing or business related discipline and be able to demonstrate evidence of project management skills; experience of managing budgets; business development experience including business planning; experience of trading outwith Scotland in particular export of goods and services and evidence of knowledge of key economic sectors and opportunities to support growth.
