2nd Year Engineering Apprentice 70% £18,150.30
3rd Year Engineering Apprentice 80% £20,743.20

If you answered yes to these questions, then an Apprentice Horticultural Mechanic post with Perth & Kinross Council could be just what you have been looking for.
The Apprenticeship within Fleet Management will be for a fixed term of 4 years where you will learn the practical side of the training within the Perth & Kinross Workshop based at Friarton.
As the successful candidate, you will also be required to attend college and obtain a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Land-based Engineering (Ground Care) @ SCQF Level 6.
Working with the Council's fleet of horticultural, agricultural, plant and equipment you will gain hands on experience along with attending college to gain a recognised qualification in the craft sector.
Applicants should have a basic knowledge and demonstrate an interest in a future career within the mechanical industry.
Standard Grade/National 4 or above in Maths, English and a Science or Technical subject is essential. Successful candidates who have been short listed will be required to complete an analytical & numerical analysis test along with a practical workshop assessment.
How else could you learn on the job, receive invaluable practical experience and work towards an industry-recognised vocational qualification, whilst getting paid?
Whilst not essential, holding a valid UK driving licence will be advantageous.
