Finance Officer (PKC05993)

We require a highly motivated Finance Officer to work as part of a team providing a comprehensive range of financial management services within Education & Children’s Services.

The post involves; budget preparation, monitoring & variance investigation, giving financial advice, supporting budget holders & support staff, providing financial training, carrying out financial control checks and ensuring good practice in the recording of financial information.

We require a highly motivated Finance Officer with proven accountancy and PC skills. You must also possess effective interpersonal and excellent communication skills together with the ability to meet tight deadlines and be a team player.

You should be committed to improving policies and processes to deliver an efficient and effective service to our customers. 

You should also have HND in Accounting, or membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians or an equivalent financial qualification.

Proven accountancy and PC skills are essential. You must also possess effective interpersonal and excellent communication skills together with the ability to meet tight deadlines and be a team player. A current valid driving licence is also essential.

This post is subject to employer pension contributions of 17% if you join the Local Government Pension Scheme.

You will be eligible to participate in the Perth & Kinross Council Flexi-time Scheme.
