This post is based in Employment and Payroll Services which is a busy, deadline driven and friendly team dealing with all aspects of employment records, contracts and payroll.  We mainly provide a service for the Council but we also provide a payroll bureau service for a small group of external connected organisations.

The main responsibility of this post is to carry out the full range of HR administration for all employees with the support of colleagues and your Supervisor.

We are looking for an experienced HR or payroll administrator who is also an enthusiastic team member to provide efficient and effective HR support.  Some knowledge of employment terms and conditions is required.  Accuracy, attention to detail and a head for numbers is essential for this post as is the ability to deal with confidential information and to work with minimum supervision.

Quick to learn, you will be able to cope with deadline related workload pressures in a positive manner.  In addition, you are willing and able to contribute flexibly to the rest of the work of the whole team as required.  You will also be able to deal with enquiries in a confident and helpful way.

You must be computer literate with proven IT Skills in Microsoft Office applications and have experience of using computer databases or other relevant software.

Ideally, you will have a certificate in HR or Payroll.  Alternatively you should be qualified to at least SCQF Level 6 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
