Sales Ledger Assistant, Perth PKC09522 
£23,631 - £25,903 (Fixed Term for 12 months)
2 High Street, Perth PH1 5PH

The Financial Systems Team are looking to recruit a Sales Ledger Assistant to undertake a range of duties relating to Sundry debt collection.

- You will be the first point of contact for many customers therefore you must be able to demonstrate excellent customer care skills and a high degree of accuracy when dealing with queries.

- You will also have to liaise with services across the Council to investigate, update and resolve customer queries.

- Provide users across the Council with Sales Ledger Training

- Carry out a variety of billing and debt recovery processes that will involve investigating account issues.

- You will have to liaise with the Councils Sheriff Officers

- Provide a help desk facility for all users.

- Ideally users should be familiar with Integra the Councils Financial System or similar packages.

Job Specification

- Educated to Standard Grade or equivalent

- Experience within a Sales Ledger, Incomes or Revenues environment

- Ideally have knowledge of Council systems

- Ideally have knowledge of reconciliations

- Have a pleasant and polite disposition

- Experience of dealing with Internal and External clients

- Have a patient and calm manner when dealing with difficult or complicated circumstances

- Treat clients and colleagues in accordance with Council’s policies

- Ideally have knowledge of Excel and Word

- Ideally have the ability to carry out audits

The Individual

The successful candidate should have experience in a similar finance-based role but not essential. Ideally the candidate would have experience of the Councils Integra System or an understanding of debt recovery.
