Job Description

Seasonal Student - Flooding, 4 Posts (PKC06506)
£17,531 Fixed Term (until 02.10.2020)
Pullar House, 35 Kinnoull Street, Perth

You will work in the Flooding Section of the Structures & Flooding Team, Environmental and Consumer Services. Your duties will include carrying out and assisting staff in the inspection of watercourses throughout the Perth & Kinross Council area. Other duties may include assisting in the preparation and supervision of watercourse clearance and repair works and the investigation and reporting on, flood events.

You must be able to cope with the demands of the post and effective computer skills are essential, as is the ability to work on your own initiative. There may also be the need to assist with design work, so you need to be conversant with Microsoft Office applications. You must have, or be studying for, an appropriate qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) preferably, but not essential. A full driving licence is essential.
