Bertha Park High School, Perth
We have an opportunity for a Senior School Technician to join our team.
You will build the team and lead technical support to provide an efficient service allowing our teaching staff to deliver a high standard of learning and teaching.
This role will involve preparation and first line repair and maintenance of materials and equipment and participation in ensuring Health & Safety Regulations are being adhered to. You will also be responsible for the management of technical staff, resources and service in line with the School Improvement Plan.
There is a particular focus in the management of the preparation, organisation and setup in departments such as Science, Home Economics and Visual Arts. Along with the management of machinery, tools and equipment in our Craft, Design and Technology department.
You will also have lead responsibilities in delivering technical support for whole school resources, activities and events.
As a new school, everyone on the team works together and is ready to do whatever it takes to provide the best experiences for our young people.
Skills & Experience Required
We are looking for someone who will be highly motivated, enthusiastic with a polite, friendly and professional manner. You must be able to cope with the demands of the job and lead a successful technical support team using effective communication and collaboration with colleagues.
This post requires you to be familiar with COSHH regulations and the safe handling of chemicals. Ideally you will hold either an SVQ level 3 or SCQF Level 6 in Science or equivalent qualification.
You must be able to demonstrate management experience and have the ability to work as part of a team.
