Senior Technician (Fixed Term until 13 August 2023) - PKC09846

Blairgowrie High School

As our Senior Technician you will provide a first line management role ensuring the provision of an efficient technical support service for Blairgowrie High School with a strong customer focussed approach.  

You will demonstrate effective use of technical resources and staff.  Your duties will include preparation and first line repair and maintenance of materials and equipment and participation in ensuring Health & Safety Regulations are being adhered to.

The Individual

•    You must have knowledge and experience of working within a science environment.
•    Ideally you will hold either an SVQ Level 3 or SCQF level 6 in science or equivalent qualification.
•    You must be familiar with COSHH regulations and with the safe handling of chemicals.
•    You must have relevant management experience and be able to work as part of a team.
•    You must be adaptable and be able to work on your own initiative.
•    You will also have technical, electrical and general repairs and maintenance skills and experience.
•    Ideally you will have experience within a school environment and experience with sound/light theatre equipment.
