You will support the Skills and Employment Initiatives Team to take forward the implementation and delivery of the new Perth & Kinross Skills Passport Training Grant initiative. Set up and manage appropriate financial systems for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Skills Passport Training Grant initiative. This will include assessing and processing training grant applications, financial planning, forecasting and financial monitoring, liaising with applicants and internal audit responsibilities. A diverse and interesting post where you will multi-task to enhance delivery and outcomes on the aforementioned project. Actively engage with applicants supporting clients to access appropriate training and ensure efficient processing of grant applications in line with specific eligibility criteria and issuing of payment. Partnership working is necessary for success in this initiative. You will be dealing professionally with local Services and training providers and forging relationships throughout the local employability network to promote the Skills Passport Initiative, signposting and supporting clients to access appropriate employability support.
We are looking for a dynamic, customer focussed and engaging person. Good communication skills are key to success in this role. It would be beneficial to have experience of working in employability, in particular, providing support to both clients and working in collaboration with key training provider partners and businesses. Professional and personable, you will represent the team and wider local authority on local forums and networks.
