Cultural Venues requires talented catering staff to join our team and assist in the delivery of catering services across our Town Halls and Art Centre. The post will be predominantly based between Johnstone Town Hall, working in our onsite cafés and events, but there will also be the opportunity to work across our other venues during events.

Ideally we are looking for candidates who have previous bar and/or waiting experience as well as some basic knowledge of commercial food preparation. In addition, you should have experience of cash and card payment handling gained within a customer facing role in a retail or hospitality setting.

It is vital therefore that our staff have a welcoming, friendly and accommodating ‘can do’ attitude towards all of our customers. Our conference and banqueting customers have also come to expect nothing less than excellent customer service from our team and you will be expected to help us build on our growing reputation in this area. Team working is also essential, particularly during events when you will be expected to work alongside our Customer Assistant and Operational teams.

The hours of the post are predominantly day time but flexibility is required as many of our events take place in the evening and at weekends where we regularly provide event catering and a public bar service.
