The role involves programming and installing community alarm equipment, responding to calls and dealing with intimate personal care tasks. It is essential that you hold, or have the capacity to achieve, a SVQ Level 2 in Social Care or an equivalent qualification at SCQF level 5 or above; have knowledge of technology used in relation to care services and be willing to undertake training in order to competently install and programme equipment; have effective communication skills (both verbally and in writing); have a positive, professional attitude, a responsible approach to sensitive information and the ability to form positive relationships with service users, follow processes and instructions and work as part of a team. You must have a Driving Licence and be able to pass the Council’s driving assessment and undertake vehicle awareness training. The service operates 365 days per year on a 4 on 4 off rota system, and you will be required to work early shifts and back shifts including lone working.
