We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who will be responsible for the day today operation of Johnstone Library which is one of our largest libraries and for Ferguslie Library with the supervision of Lochwinnoch Library.
You will be responsible for leading and motivating a team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality library service which includes a full and varied regular programme of events. You will be experienced in delivering frontline library services and will have extensive experience in staff development. You will also possess excellent ICT skills including a knowledge of library systems and competency with a range of digital devices and platforms.
You will actively work with partners to deliver on national and local priorities,ensuring that the library is developed to meet the needs of users and potential users.
You will also be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of service-wide projects and initiatives.
Proven experience in stock management is essential as is an enthusiasm for books, and for promoting the benefits of reading.
