Renfrewshire Council supports payment of the Living Wage of £9.07 per hour as the minimum level of remuneration to its employees . Therefore, successful applicants will be paid the ‘Living Wage’ - (the Hourly Rate for the post + a Living Wage Pay Supplement, in order to bring their earnings to £9.07 per hour).

Working in various locations throughout Renfrewshire, you will be required to undertake work in public parks, playing fields, landscaped areas, streets and open spaces.

Duties involve general maintenance including; removal of leaves and litter from designated hard and soft landscaped areas using appropriate equipment; grass cutting; hedge trimming; shrub bed maintenance; carrying out work programmes in accordance with service outcomes; constructional labouring work and inspection, cleaning and routine maintenance of operating equipment.

It is essential that you have experience of; working on your own or as part of a team; working outdoors and carrying out manual work. It is also essential that you can demonstrate the ability to follow straightforward work programmes and work alone or as part of a team. It is desirable that you have experience of; working with the public; working with powered tools and light plant and working within Grounds Maintenance.

You will work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern averaging 37 hours per week, on a week to week contract.
