This post is internal open to employees of Renfrewshire Council only.

Based at Castlehead High School, Camphill, Paisley.

Customer Services is recruiting two full-time System Support Officers to maintain the ongoing delivery of online school payment and cashless catering services across Renfrewshire’s schools and nurseries. These posts will be the focal point for maintaining successful use of our current systems, specifically: the ParentPay payment management system; the Civica secondary schools catering system; the Cypad primary and nursery catering system; and, the Tali (formerly Pebble) school fund management system.

The Online School Payment & Cashless Catering Project has, over the last three years, seen Renfrewshire transform cash handling across the whole schools and early-years estate. School catering and administrative staff are now better able to focus on tasks adding greater value to children’s education and welfare. Most importantly however, the rollout of ParentPay to the parents and carers of Renfrewshire’s ~20,000 school and nursery pupils has established an invaluable platform for Renfrewshire Council’s digital transformation programme.

It is essential that you have experience of delivering services in a process driven environment, managing demanding customer relationships, delivering and leading a wide range of administrative tasks, developing and leading teams and have effective problem solving and issue resolution skills. An SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent) is essential.

You will require a knowledge of the relevant systems and associated processes, specifically ParentPay, SEEMIS and Business World. To fulfil the core functions of providing timely management information to stakeholders, solving operational system issues and delivering user training, you must be pro-active, flexible and adaptable to manage service delivery across multiple locations throughout Renfrewshire. There will be seasonal peaks in workload and you will be required to support other activities within the Central Support Team when not fully deployed on ParentPay-related tasks.

It is desirable that you have experience of developing processes and procedures, experience of using the Council finance & purchasing systems, experience of supporting business change across multiple locations, knowledge of Renfrewshire Council’s corporate policies and practices and experience of delivering frontline schools catering or administrative services.

If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.  If you would like further information in relation to the Disclosure Scotland checks, please visit
