Job Title: Care Home Manager

Location: Deanfield Residential Home, Hawick

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary*: £20.92-£22.50 per hour/£38,403.43 - £41,785.52 per annum pro rata.

Qualifications: SVQ Level 4 in Social Care or equivalent. Registered Managers Award, SVQ Level 4 in Management or equivalent.

The Role:

Be actively responsible for the operational management of care teams, ensuring effective human resources planning -including recruitment, staff retention, staff development and absence management.

Provide leadership, supervision, and promote good practice within the service.

Liaise with other professionals out with the council to ensure quality care for their residents.

Demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and organisation.

Ensure that the requirements in relation to safeguarding and adult protection for clients and staff are met. Escalating issues in a timely and appropriate manner to the Service Manager.
