This is a minibus driving role based from various locations across the Scottish Borders. This is a Zero Hours contract offering driving cover to full time members of staff, our working pattern is between Monday and Friday from the hours of 6:30am-5:30pm, however some evening and weekend work may become available.
Training will include PVG application, Driver Induction, full MIDAS training and route learning prior to deployment.
Following training, opportunities exist for drivers in Full and Part Time work on a variety of school, SAN (Special Assisted Needs) and Commercial bus driving work.
Previous bus driving experience is desirable, however we welcome applicants with a range of work and life experience to apply.
Full manual driving licence with minimum Category D1 - Minibus up to 16 seats.
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
