Chief Social Work Officer
South Ayrshire Council has created a new post of Chief Social Work Officer which presents an opportunity for a forward thinking candidate to have a pivotal role in developing professional social work practice and standards. It is the first post of this type in Scotland and provides an excellent platform for developing professional social work practice.

Working with colleagues across services and reporting to the Director of Health & Social Care, you will be responsible for the development of social work practice and standards, with a strong emphasis on collaborative working with partners, families and communities.
The Grade of this post is Grade 5 /Level 7 and the salary is from £61,539 to £63,364 and is politically restricted under section2 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989.
