What is the role?
Home Energy Scotland at the Energy Agency is looking for enthusiastic, customer focused telephone advisors. Home Energy Scotland is the free, impartial advice service funded by the Scottish Government and managed by the Energy Saving Trust. The Energy Agency delivers the service in South West Scotland. We are dedicated to supporting Scottish householders to make changes to their lives and homes, helping them to keep warm, and save money. The customer is at the heart of everything we do.
You will be part of a busy, target-focused and supportive team dealing with both inbound and outbound advice calls, however, this is no standard call centre job. Our team also delivers face to face advice at a variety of events across the south west region. Therefore, to be successful in this role you need to have a passion for customer service and be a confident communicator.
You will be expected to go above and beyond for your customers supporting them with tailored advice specific to their needs. However, the most important thing you can bring is a positive attitude so don’t worry if you don’t think you have the technical skills, we’ll give you full training. Our training package includes City & Guilds certification and SQA qualifications, and that’s before you even take a phone call.
On top of that you will work great hours, there are also loads of opportunities for development and we offer an attractive staff benefits package which includes a generous pension scheme, flexible working and employee assistance programme.
