Job Description

What is the role?

To provide extended personal care to the most vulnerable members of the community, in a way that supports the maintenance of the individual’s independence and dignity and offers them a positive choice in their own home.

Extra information:

The Grade of these posts are Grade 2 / Level 5, the hourly rate is from £11.73 to £12.77 and the annual salary is from £12,844 to £13,983. Please note there is an additional 10% non-core allowance for backshift posts only.

Working Patterns:

Dayshift - Week 1: 7.00am to 1.00pm Monday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 2: 7.00am to 1.00pm Tuesday to Friday

Backshift - Week 1: 4.00pm to 10.00pm Monday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 2: 4.00pm to 10.00pm Tuesday to Friday

Available areas are as follows:

  • Post A - Troon / Prestwick
  • Post B - Maybole/ Girvan
  • Post C - Ayr North
  • Post D - Ayr South
  • Post E - Sourcing Team
  • Post F - Supply

Successful candidates will be expected to travel efficiently and may be required to work out with normal work area.

Successful candidates who drive will be provided with a fleet vehicle whilst on shift and non-drivers will be given access to E bikes.

These posts are considered to be Regulated Work with children and protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidates will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
