Job Description
What is the role?
To undertake duties connected with the removal of domestic, commercial and industrial refuse from all types of locations by working as part of a team to carry out waste collection. Assisting the driver in the safe manoeuvring of the vehicle on collection routes and at disposal points.
To undertake duties involving, recycling, street cleaning and other waste management operations.

The grade of these posts are Grade 1 / Level 2 and an annual salary of £18,019 plus 5% non core allowance. Shift work will be discussed during interview. Please note these posts are temporary for 26 weeks.
South Ayrshire Council applies the Scottish Local Government Living Wage for its workforce. This means that the minimum hourly rate for South Ayrshire Council employees will be £9.34. Although this post currently has a basic hourly rate of £7.94, £9.34 per hour will be paid. The Living Wage will also be used in the calculation of any hours worked beyond 37 per week and on any allowance based on a proportion of the hourly rate e.g. outwith core and night working.
