Job Description

Lanarkshire Valuation Joint Board

Who we are Lanarkshire Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority established by The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995.

What we do Provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for both North and South Lanarkshire council areas in respect of the compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Rolls, Valuation (Council Tax) Lists, and Register of Electors.

Our aim To provide high quality, effective and responsive services to all of our stakeholders

Who we are looking for: 3 Administrative Officers

You will assist with the supervision, organisation and control of an efficient administration service. You will undertake specialist clerical and administrative activities in accordance with predetermined procedures, instructions and standards to support the effectiveness of the service.

You will provide specialist advice on administrative and electoral registration issues and will require detailed knowledge of electoral law and procedures. You will contribute to the development and operation of electoral registration and administrative information technology systems.

You will create and provide reports, records and statistics for management as required. You will report directly to the Administration Officer who manages a team of clerical and administrative staff. You will assist in the administration to issue and monitoring of civil penalty notices in relation to non-return of Assessor’s Information Notices.
