Killearn Nursery Class part of Killearn Primary School are looking for an Early Childhood Educator who will provide fun, creative and nurturing interactions with children, and will work in partnership with our families maintaining positive relations to support children’s early learning. The successful candidate will have the necessary skills and qualities to effectively work in partnership with our nursery staff team, children, families and community. They will provide play based learning which meet the needs of the individual child in line with Local and National guidance and have knowledge of curriculum frameworks. They will hold the relevant childcare qualification for this role.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience of working in early learning and childcare settings and will be able to demonstrate the required skills and competencies of the role. As an Early Childhood Educator they will plan relevant learning experiences, observe and record children’s progress appropriate to the needs of children and families in our setting. They will ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all and will maintain SSSC standards as part of their registration.
Applicants should be explicit in detailing the required skills, experience and attributes that you are able to bring to this post. You will be registered as a practitioner with the SSSC prior to appointment, or within 6 months of your appointment. This is a part time (17.5hrs), permanent post, the applicant must be able to work the hours of 8.00am-6.00pm.
