Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join the Health and Safety Team at Stirling Council in this permanent, full time post as a Health and Safety Officer.
You will have a hands-on systematic approach using the H&S management systems and work pro-actively and reactively as part of the Health & Safety Team. You will provide advice, guidance and support across the organisation to multiple services.
You will be required to carry out a broad range of H&S functions including general and topic specific H&S audits, inspections and monitoring of service risk/CoSHH assessment compliance. You will also be required to attend meetings internally and externally with partner organisations, both on-line and face to face, and carry out incident investigations, with specific support provided in some service areas as required and directed.

You will have extensive knowledge in the field of workplace Occupational Health and Safety and hold the relevant Health and Safety Qualification, IOSH membership and the other essential requirements stated in the job description.
You should hold a full, current driving licence that enables you to drive legally in the UK.
