In Stirling Council we want to be risk aware, not risk averse and due to a recent retirement, the post of Risk & Resiliance Team Leader has become available. You will be responsible for driving Stirling Council’s Emergency Planning, Business Continuity, Risk Management arrangements and in working with colleagues, ensure plans are in place and Stirling Council is prepared to respond to any major emergency affecting Stirling Council’s population. This role involves partnership working which includes the emergency services, voluntary agencies and other partners.
You will contribute to the Local Resilience Partnership, Regional Resilience Partnership and all supporting groups, who ensure a multi-agency response to major emergencies across Forth Valley and the East of Scotland.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent. eg. Award in Resilience Management (SCQF level 9), together with experience in resilience and risk management and have an understanding of resilience and risk management in a Local Government context. You will also have knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment.
