Riverside Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the community of Craigshill in Livingston.  It is part of the Inveralmond Community High School cluster.  The school roll is 332 with pupils being organised into ten classes (P1-7) and a 30/30 nursery.

The senior leadership team comprises the Head Teacher and Depute Head Teacher and a Principal Teacher 0.5. In addition to thirteen class teachers, there is a team of pupil support workers, a support for learning teacher and specialist provision for PE. The school office is staffed by an administrative assistant and a clerical assistant.

All pupils have access to a very successful Breakfast Club which is well attended.  A variety of sports clubs are available out-with the school day throughout the year.

Riverside Primary School is well supported by the parent council and the wider parent forum. The parent council works in close partnership with the school and provides support in identifying areas for improvement. There are supportive partnerships with local community groups.

This Admin Assistant role will have a clear focus on delivering high quality administrative support to Riverside Primary School. The successful candidate will deliver a wide range of admin functions and will follow West Lothian Council policies and procedures in order to support the effective day to day running of the school, working closely in partnership with staff, parents and learners.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
